IMACC Stands Ready to Assist in Wildfire Damage Restoration

In response to the wildfires burning in southern California, IMACC has placed our local and extended Network of certified fire damage restoration professionals in the affected areas. In addition to total fire restoration, IMACC also provides property fencing, board-up, smoke damage restoration, textile and clothing restoration, and water damage restoration. Because fire and smoke damage becomes more pronounced as time passes, it is imperative that affected properties be inspected and the restoration process begin promptly. IMACC has setup the following resources to assist residents and commercial establishments:

24-Hour Response Center: (877) 438-4622 (877) GET-IMACC

Claims Information Center: (877) 462-2280 (877) IMACC-80

To prepare for a wildfire, residents should consider the following recommended actions:

  • Get your homeowners insurance coverage up-to-date if you have made any additions to your home.

  • Take and occasionally update an inventory of your possessions using a Home Inventory Guide.  Other online home inventory sites are available as well. As a disclaimer, we neither discourage nor endorse the use of these sites.

  • Make sure your home address is visible from the street.

  • Make sure your street sign is named or numbered and visible.

  • Identify different emergency routes out of the home and 2 exit routes from your neighborhood. Have your Family Emergency Plan and Emergency Kits ready.

  • Cleary mark all emergency water sources: pool, pond, well or fire hydrant.

A more detailed list, on how to prevent fires from both inside and outside the home, can be found in this checklist.
